Before we start with this guide, and you start with breeding, you should write down different factors that will play a role in your breeding farm. These factors you need to consider as an owner in Pegaxy when breeding include your personal goals.
First, let’s discuss the costs of breeding before we discuss bloodlines, breed types, and probability. The formula is as follows:
The figures may vary depending on the game’s economic balance. VIS and PGX requirements per breed may change over time.
Due to the fact that Pega are metal machines, there are no restrictions when breeding them. They can be bred with parents, children, grandchildren, etc.
The table below explains the rarity of Pega and their bloodlines:
When breeding, the least rare bloodline is dominant. Sickle (Dark Red) is the rarest bloodline, while Zan (Light Pink) is the least rare.
So, for example:
If you breed a Hoz Pega Male (the rarest bloodline) with a Klin Pega Female (the third rarest bloodline), the baby Pega will be of the Klin bloodline. This example will help you formulate your own breeding strategy.
Breed Types #
This may seem confusing at first, but let’s take a look at some examples to simplify what you see below.
So, for this example:
You own one male Founding Hoz Pega, you then decide to breed him with a female Founding Hoz Pega. By referencing both charts above, the resulting baby Pega is a male or female Hoz Pega with the Legendary Breed Type. With this formula, you will notice that new Founding Pega can never be born, they are forever limited to the 5,000 created at the start of the Pegaxy Metaverse.
A more complex example:
You own one female Rare Klin Pega and you wish to breed it with a male Epic Campona, your resulting baby Pega would be a male or female Pacer Klin Pega.
If it is still hard to comprehend, break it down into two parts. The Bloodline of the male and female, then the Breed Type of the male and female. Combine the two results and you will be the baby Pega.
Cooldown Times #
There are a couple of cooldown times, which differ per Pega type, you should keep in mind while breeding Pega:
- First, the cooldown time for a Pega to breed again: Hoz 24 hours | Campona 48 hours | Klin 72 hours | Zan 96 hours
- Second, the time a newborn Pega needs to wait before it can race its first race: Hoz 24 hours | Campona 48 hours | Klin 72 hours | Zan 96 hours
- Third, the length of time needed for a Newborn Pega to be able to breed: 96 hours for all bloodlines.
Currently, the gender of a baby Pega is decided 50/50. At this point in time, no external factors can predict Pega’s gender. In the future, the NFT Food will alter the chances of a male or female Pega being born, but this is not active at present.
Breeding Pegas in Pegaxy bring a variety of factors you should consider / be ware about. As with all NFT games, make sure you are aware of the risks and how the breeding mechanics work.
