What is OKEx Wallet? #
OKEx Wallet is a non-custodial, multichain digital asset storage and management tool. OKEx has no control over your wallet, or the asset stored in it, and cannot access any of its details. Wallet creators and owners can take full custody of the assets held within the wallet.
It currently supports 8 major blockchain networks and sidechains, including OEC, Ethereum, BSC, xDAI, Polygon and FANTOM. You can also custom add other networks too.
OKEx have two different decentralized wallet applications, which are Web 3.0 browser extension and OKEx mobile app. Both provide access to hundreds of decentralized protocols and secure storage for many digital assets in one location.
How to create a new OKEx Wallet – MetaX #
- Web 3.0 browser extension:
First, install the OKEx Wallet browser extension and it is available to download in both Chrome and Firefox.
One the wallet setup page, you will see two options which are “Create a new wallet” and “Import an existing wallet”
Click “Create a wallet”, then you will be on the “Create Password” page. Enter the password in the required field.
The next screen presents your “Backup Phrase”
Click Next, then click the words in the order in which they appeared in the “Backup Phrase.” The Confirm button will be activated when the seed phrase is entered correctly. Click it to continue.
The next page will confirm the creation of your new Web 3.0 wallet. It will also stress the importance of protecting your Secret Backup Phrase again.
