Most blockchain games focus on Pokémon type of gameplay and simple gameplay such as in-game mining. However, there aren’t a lot of fighting games in the crypto space. One of the few fighting blockchain games is 9D NFT.
Game Mechanics #
Launched on 29th December 2021 on the Binance Smart Chain, 9D NFT is an MMO blockchain fighting game that includes elements from Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, World Of Warcraft and Runescape. Upon registering, players can create up to 4 characters per account.
There are 5 types of character classes, which are Staff Masters, Bow Masters, Zither Masters, Blade Masters and Sword Masters. Each class has five stats and specializes in two or three of them. For example, the Staff Master has high Attack, Crit and reasonable Defense stats while the Blade Master has high Defense, Control and reasonable Support stats.
Before creating a character, players need to choose 1 out of 5 continents from which their character is native to. These continents are: The South Desert, Abyss Sea, The East Plains, The West Grassland and The North Mountain. Each continent has the same character classes but a different element type. For example, a Sword Master from the Abyss Sea continent has a metal element type, while Sword Masters from other continent have different elemental types.
9D NFT has five distinct features for its players to utilize. These features are:
- Quests – Main Storylines, Dungeons, World Quests and Guild Quests fall under this category
- PVE-Monster – Outside of the above-mentioned quests, players can fight regular in-game enemies to gain EXP and level up their characters. By defeating enemies, players can earn COGI, COD and NFT Items.
- Bosses – 9D NFT contains 3 boss types that players can fight against: Single Bosses, Main Bosses (Quests), and World Bosses. By defeating bosses, players can earn COGI, COD and NFT Items.
The game has a lot of resources for players to collect. Some resources are only for aesthetic purposes, while others improve damage output etc. The following resources can be collected by playing the game:

- COGI

- Equipment
- Companion
- Mount
- Sword Box
- PET
- Divine Skill
- Magic Scrolls
- Fashion
- Enhance Material
- Other Material
Finally, 9D NFT’s marketplace allows its players to trade, sell and purchase NFTs and stake COGI/COD tokens in return of earning in-game loot boxes.
Tokenomics #
9D NFTs has two in-game tokens: COGI and COD. COGI stands for Crypto Online Gaming Infrastructure and has a fixed supply. It is used for Trading, staking and governance. Its full tokenomics and allocation can be viewed in the image below:
The COD token, which stands for Crystal Of Dragons, is mainly used to incentivize 9D NFT players. It has an inflationary design and aims to match the growth of the in-game economy and to provide a solid monetary base for in-game economic interactions and onramps to enter the game.
Roadmap #
The 9D NFT team has deployed a clear, ambitious, and long-term visioned roadmap. It is divided in 4 sections: 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024-2028. The full roadmap can be viewed in the images below.
Conclusion #
9D NFT is a unique MMO blockchain fighting game that allows players to play together and grind tokens and NFT rewards. As of writing, it’s still in its early stages, but thanks to its clear roadmap and big community this game can definitely blow up.
