How to connect MetaMask to the Huobi Eco Chain Network

This guide will show you how to connect your MetaMask wallet to the Huobi Eco Chain (HECO) Network. Although HECO is still a fairly new exchange chain, it is a good alternative to the popular Binance Smart Chain (BSC).

Step 1. Open MetaMask #

Open the MetaMask browser extension by clicking the MetaMask icon in the top right corner of the Browser.

Step 2. Go to settings #

Click on the logo of your account at the top right of the Metamask window. Then click on ‘Settings’.

Step 3. Go to networks #

In this menu, you will see a list of different settings. Scroll down and click on ‘Networks’. A list of names of all the networks MetaMask is connected to will appears. Click the ‘Add Network’ button on the bottom of the window.

Step 4. Add the network details #

You will now need to fill in some fields: a Network name, New RPC URL, ChainID, Symbol and Block Explorer URL. To add the HECO network to MetaMask, fill in the information below:

• Network Name: Heco Mainnet
• New RPC URL: https://http-mainnet-node.huobichain.com
• Chain ID: 128
• Symbol: HT
• Block Explorer URL: https://scan.hecochain.com

Please note that all transaction fees you incur on the HECO Network must be paid with the HT token.

Step 5. Connect your MetaMask to the HECO Network #

Don’t forget to connect your MetaMask wallet to the HECO network before sending assets over. You do this by clicking on the current network at the top of your MetaMask wallet. Click on ‘HECO Mainnet’ in the list.
