How To Bridge BUSD From BSC to Moonriver Using The Meter Passport Bridge

Ever since Moonriver allowed developers and users to interact with EVM compatible dapps it has been attracting more and more liquidity. Currently the Moonriver network is sitting at around $400M in TVL and growing.

The Master Passport bridge seems to be the fastest way to send some liquidity over to Moonriver so let’s see how it works.

Connecting Your Wallet #

You can start the process by clicking on the “connect metamask” button displayed on the welcome screen.

Once that is done make sure that you set up the networks right. If done correctly your setup should look like this:

From: BSC

Currency: BUSD

To: Moonriver

Sending The Funds #

By unticking the checkbox on the screen you can choose to send the funds to a different wallet, if needed. If you want them to arrive at the same address, leave everything unchanged, enter the amount you want to send and start the transfer.

If you agree with all of the terms and warnings click on “start transfer” and your funds will be on their way to Moonriver.

There are two transactions included in the process. The first one allows the bridge to send your BUSD and the other one starts the bridging process.

Once both are confirmed the bridging process will start and your funds should arrive at the other end shortly.

Conclusion #

Moonriver’s EVM compatibility makes the bridging process easy for those that already used bridges for other networks. The complete process feels like you are still on Ethereum and those that want to test out Moonriver can do so by using the Meter Passport bridge.

As always, it is highly advised that you get familiar with the platform and risks involved before using the bridge. More information on Meter Passport can be found here.
